With over 15 years hands on experience in marketing, I have had the chance to work with an amazing variety of businesses. What has always been clear to me is that marketing is an entirely transferable skill – which is what led me to launch the business. I wanted the opportunity to work with a range of businesses, creating practical AND exciting approaches to marketing.
I have had the pleasure of working with both B2B and B2C businesses, government organisations, family-run businesses, local, nation and international brands, across so may different sectors that it would take forever to list them!
My strength lies in my ability to see the entire playing field for our clients. Because we don’t specialise in one area of marketing, our clients know that our recommendations an unbiased and based on our deep understanding of marketing theory and the range of marketing tools available to them. I am able to provide insight into not only marketing strategy, but also the lay of the land for the sector and geographic location of our clients.
In terms of formal education I have a Bachelor of Communication and a Masters of Marketing from the University of Newcastle and I am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In addition to working with our clients I am also often called upon to present at events and conferences – something I get nervous about prior to (which people who know me don’t believe!) but also throughly enjoy doing.

I bring a wealth of marketing, communication, and strategy experience to the team from a diverse background including government, business and the not-for-profit sector.
My early career in advertising and print production has given me a keen eye for detail, while my long-term role as Sponsorship, Marketing and Event Manager for Australia’s largest surfing festival, Surfest, has resulted in me having a firm understanding of relationship management and events of all sizes.
As Marketing Operations Manager at The Marketing GP I am the big picture thinker with the ability to hone in on the detail. I am responsible for the day-to-day interactions with our clients and working with our clients to set their strategy for success. I also manage the day-to-day operations of the business and look after the team.
I am fortunate enough to live in a beautiful part of the region, right by the coast – so when I am not at work, you will find me relaxing at the beach and swimming year-round. I am a firm believer that the beach has a positive effect on our minds and it is my ‘go to’ place to restore peace and calm.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies) from the University of Newcastle and have 20 years’ professional experience in communication-focused roles. I have a proven track record developing and managing multi-channel communication strategies that deliver desired results.
The ability to tailor messaging to specific audiences and identify the most effective channels to achieve maximum reach is one of my key strengths, as is the breadth of my experience as a communication professional. I respond well in rapidly evolving environments and appreciate a team-focused work environment that encourages input and ideas from everyone involved in the business.
My role with The Marketing GP is to manage and direct the workflow of strategic marketing and communication activities for our clients, develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that meet targeted goals, and provide guidance and leadership to emerging members of the team.
Prior to joining The Marketing GP, I have held roles in the public service (NSW Health, Mine Safety NSW, Infrastructure Victoria), the higher education sector (The University of Newcastle, Newcastle Innovation), politics (Media Adviser to Federal MPs), radio news and private consulting firms.
I’m a born and bred Novocastrian living in New Lambton Heights with my partner Dave, an aircraft engineer who heads-up Hunter Aerospace, our aviation maintenance business, and our son Sam.
In my down time I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, and satisfying my obsession with re-runs of popular tv sitcoms from the late 20thand early 21stCentury.
After completing my Bachelor of Management (Marketing and Human Resources) at the University of Newcastle, I have worked in varying general marketing roles for the past 14 years. My specialist skillset leans towards event management, client relations and direct marketing. Having said that, I am happy to try my hand at any facet within the marketing arena.
My ability to multi-task while giving every job the detailed attention it needs is one of my key strengths, as is my ability to build client relationships and maintain their ever-changing needs. I respond well to fast-paced and high-pressure situations and enjoy a friendly team-focused work environment that encourages collaboration.
My role with The Marketing GP is a developing one, with my position only starting in late August 2018. I will be managing and directing the workflow through our office to ensure that all our clients’ varying needs are met on a daily basis. I will also work on The Marketing GP’s marketing strategy, whilst supporting our Chief Marketer, Holly Martin. My role will also see me working on the varying marketing needs of our clients and meeting their targeted goals.
As mentioned, my career has seen me through a variety of marketing roles. I have worked in small localised businesses on the Central Coast to companies that span Australia and New Zealand. Working with brands such as Toyota, Kia, Daihatsu and SsangYong early in my career gave me a great foundation moving forward. I’ve since managed the marketing for the Australian and New Zealand retail network for Singer, Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff sewing machines, contracted under Defence Force Recruiting to promote careers in our armed forces and run my own private consulting. Lastly, I entered the world of insurance, marketing niche firm Rapid Solutions and Pacific International through Australia and New Zealand. My experience has covered radio, TV, newspaper, catalogue and social media advertising, along with database management and direct marketing, not to mention event management for 5 to 750 people.
Originally from the Western Suburbs of Sydney, I now reside on the Central Coast with my husband Aaron, and our two daughters Lily and Aurora. Our home is often loud and full of chaos but being of a Mediterranean background I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In my down time, I enjoy a good book, but not e-readers and plenty of cooking. I also love spending time with family and friends, especially watching my eldest daughter perform on stage.
Approaching the completion of my High School studies at Merewether High School in 2017 I had decided that I wanted to study business, but I never could have expected that I would become a part of such a brilliant marketing team.
The week after I finished my last HSC exam, I jumped straight in and started my role as Client Services Coordinator for The Marketing GP. I am so glad that I did.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Business at the University of Newcastle, my Marketing and Human Resources majors go hand in hand with the work I do as a part of The Marketing GP team – and I am reaping the benefits in both my university studies and my role.
I have grown up in a very marketing-oriented household – with both of my parents currently working in marketing positions for different organisations, I must have the marketing genes in my blood too.
I am very family-oriented, born and raised in Port Stephens, I love to spend time at the beach with family and friends – not surfing though, that is one skill I never picked up!
As for what I do as a client services coordinator, well, I do a lot. Managing social media accounts, email marketing and websites for clients are my main roles.
I also assist in the organisation and managing of events, liaise with clients, keep track of engagements across social media and client websites, design all types of content for social media, manage award submissions and I have even been known to write a couple of blogs here and there.
Believe it or not, the list goes on.
Proficient at Canva, Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Trybooking, Eventbrite, Facebook Ads, WordPress, and more, my client services coordinator tasks are constantly expanding and evolving. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I pride myself on the work that I do as part of The Marketing GP team and feel so privileged to be surrounded by such accomplished team members who I learn from every day.
I am currently studying a double degree in Business and Commerce student at the University of Newcastle. With a passion for digital marketing and event management, I was thrilled to join The Marketing GP team as a Client Services Coordinator in 2018.
What I love most about being part of The Marketing GP is the variety of work I get to do. Everyday is different and I am constantly learning new skills.
My main roles as a Client Services Coordinator are managing social media accounts, email marketing and websites for clients. Design is a huge interest of mine, so I love that creating content makes up a big part of my role. I also have the opportunity to write blogs, manage events and assist in strategic marketing planning, to name a few!
Through interning at different organisations, I have gained experience in a range of areas including events, sponsorships and communications. I have worked on a number of projects including the 2018 Mardi Gras parade, the International Air Transport Association AGM, Hunter Safety Awards, and NSW Regional Safety Conference and Expo.
Studying tourism has made me incredibly passionate about travel and learning about different cultures. Some of my highlights have been studying International Marketing and Cross-cultural management at the Burgundy School of Business in France, and volunteering in Cambodia.
In my spare time you’ll find me hanging out with family and friends, catching up on TV shows or eating Mexican food.
I’m a Communications student, studying a double major of Journalism and Public Relations at the University of Newcastle. I moved here after being born and raised in regional New South Wales.
Joining The Marketing GP team in 2018 I jumped straight into my role as Client Services Coordinator. I have studied and completed work experience in related fields and my involvement in sectors such as tourism, event management, customer service and local advertising, makes me a great fit in this role. I love being part of such a close team and I’m excited to see what the future holds!
I’ve certainly learnt a lot in my role already but I still find it difficult to answer the question “so what is it you do?” The short answer is, a little bit of everything!
My main passion and focus is on writing and I love that I get the opportunity to write across a wide range of genres! Our focus is to write in the ‘voice’ of our clients, which means my skill set is increasing rapidly.
I also manage social media, not only creating content to push out, but ensuring we interact with the public and respond to any queries or comments.
Other areas I undertake include website management, client liaison, event preparation and delivery and so much more!
Outside of work my passions include travel and writing, but I also enjoy being physically and socially active. I love all things music and am always up for a concert or festival. In my down time, you can find me either binge watching new tv shows, or rewatching some of my old favourites like Friends.
